E. Trescher felt fedora, made in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.

The embossing on the lining and sweatband reads:

"E. TRESCHER

FREIBURG I. B.

Kaiserstrasse 109

u. Franziskanerplatz"

This hat can confidently be dated to before 1933, as Kaiserstrasse was renamed in 1933 to Adolf-Hitler-Straße, and is now known as Kaiser-Joseph-Straße.

Measurements

All measurements are taken by hand with the garment on a hanger or table. As such there may be some small deviation between the size measured and the actual size.

Measurements are taken as follows:

  • Chest: Armpit to armpit
  • Shoulders: Shoulder seam to shoulder seam
  • Sleeves: Shoulder seam to cuff of sleeve
  • Length: Collar seam to bottom of skirt
  • Waist: Around the waist
  • Inseam: Crotch seam to cuff of trousers
  • Front/back rise: Crotch seam to top of waistband
