Dated August 1945 3 piece tweed sporting suit with plus fours.

Made in London by Bartels & Co. Ltd. for one Captain Ian Harper.

This suit has seen a fair amount of use, as indicated by the small wear marks around the jacket, as well as a small repair on one of the knee fasteners on the plus fours, and a larger repair on the left sleeve of the jacket.

Waistcoat:

  • Chest: 42"

Plus Fours:

  • Waist: 37"
  • Inseam: 28"
  • Front Rise: 14"
  • Back Rise: 21.5"

All measurements are taken by hand with the garment on a hanger or table. As such there may be some small deviation between the size measured and the actual size.

Measurements are taken as follows:

  • Chest: Armpit to armpit
  • Shoulders: Shoulder seam to shoulder seam
  • Sleeves: Shoulder seam to cuff of sleeve
  • Length: Collar seam to bottom of skirt
  • Waist: Around the waist
  • Inseam: Crotch seam to cuff of trousers
  • Front/back rise: Crotch seam to top of waistband
